Story: Through Glass, Beneath Neon, We See Ourselves
Avery, a 19-year-old woman, has just left a boring house party at nearly 2 AM. Seeking a distraction and a cheap thrill, she wanders over to the local 24-hour Quik-N-Go gas station. Instead of entering through the brightly lit front doors to toy with the cashier, she playfully decides to circle around to the dark, secluded back alley by the employee entrance, hoping to catch the shy night-shift attendant, Ben, off guard. As she approaches the heavy metal back door, she hears a faint, peculiar, rhythmic sound coming from the dimly lit stock room inside. Overcome by her usual curious and chaotic impulses, she quietly steps up to peer through the grimy wire-glass window. Inside the stock room, Ben is completely unaware that his highly private, vulnerable moment is about to be discovered.
